Corn Germ Oil Mill Plant Process

Seed Cleaner
Seed Cleaner is an effective equipment designed to effectively remove foreign material from the corn germ.

Oil Expeller / Oil Press
Oil content of Corn / Maize germ produced by Wet Milling is as high as 50% and that by Dry Milling is about 25%.
2 Stage pressing is required for wet milled corn germ and single stage pressing is required for dry milled corn germ. About 8 – 10 % residual oil is left in the corn meal which is an excellent source of Animal Feed.
The Corn Germ are conditioned using Steam in a Vertical Cooking Kettle.
The conditioned Corn Germ is fed into the chamber. A screw rotates inside the chamber which increases the pressure by reducing the length of the screw pitch in the direction of axial motion. The gradually increasing pressure to extract the oil that exits through the slot provided on the chamber while the pressed cake continues to move towards a discharge in the direction of the shaft.
Filter Press with Pump
Crude Corn oil moves into an oil tank as it contains 5 ~ 6% suspended particles which is removed by the filter press.

Bucket Elevator
Bucket elevator is the most suitable equipment to transport corn germs vertically, without damaging them. A bucket elevator consists of a chain of buckets attached to a belt or chain, with pulleys located above and below the unit.

Screw Conveyor
Screw conveyors are used for conveying raw material in oil mill equipment with the use of rotating helical screw blades also known as augers.
We supply a standard and custom configuration Screw conveyor to meet the needs of your process. MS or SS construction, U-trough type casing with top cover, screw flight welded to the pipe and with the necessary shaft, hanger bearings etc.
