Production process
Step 1 – Copra cutters are used to cut dried copra into small pieces.
Step 2 – Then, the small pieces are sent to copra dryer, It cooked mildly at a temperature of 35°C to 50°C for 6 hours.
Step 3 – After proper cooking, the copra pieces are fed into the oil expeller which the oil is expelled from the copra by the pressure exerted by a continuous rotating worm shaft in the barrel or cage.
Step 4 – Finally, oil filter press can remove the foots from the crude oil and it send for packaging.
Step 5 – Generally, you can pack the oil in bulk packaging in tin containers. In addition, you can use HDPE container and polymeric nylon barrier pouch for small consumer packing. And the oilcake which is also contain while pressing, it send to market in the production of a cattle feed and in the production of mixed cattle feed. You can also extract the remaining oil in oilcake by solvent extraction method.
